Mood, Mobility and Place - Design Exemplar

The brief for this project was to design and layout a publication that shows and describes 13 things that researchers have found out about co-designing age-friendly places as part of a three-year project called Mobility, Mood and Place (MMP).

Background: Mobility, Mood and Place (MMP), a project based at Edinburgh College of Art,  explores how places can be designed collaboratively to make pedestrian mobility easy, enjoyable and meaningful into oldest age. www.mobilitymoodplace.ac.uk.

The intended audience for the publication are professionals working in planning, development, architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. They do not have the time to read academic research papers but they appreciate and understand visual representations, with brief written summaries that contextualise the images.

To reach these people, and influence them to use co-design techniques and design through an age-friendly lens, the publication needed to be very visual, with short but engaging and persuasive text.

This publication was produced in both printed and interactive PDF form.
